Summer STEM and Entrepreneurship success!
This summer, Grateful Education Foundation was proud to provide another exciting season of STEM and Entrepreneurship learning for our youth. Our program gave children the opportunity to explore, create, experiment, build confidence, and discover new possibilities, all while having fun and learning alongside their peers and community partners.
One of the highlights of the summer was our Mock Business Fair, where students experienced entrepreneurship firsthand. They developed their own business ideas, created products, learned about pricing and marketing, practiced communicating with customers, and experienced what it feels like to present and sell something they created. This hands-on experience helped students strengthen leadership, critical-thinking, communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills while beginning to understand the many steps involved in building a business.
Our young learners also dove into the world of science through interactive experiments and STEM activities. Instead of simply reading about science, students were encouraged to ask questions, make predictions, test ideas, observe results, and learn through discovery. Community partners also helped bring learning to life by sharing their knowledge, experiences, careers, and resources with our students.
Just as important as academics, we intentionally focused on the development of the whole child. Students participated in activities designed to strengthen self-esteem, emotional awareness, self-regulation, positive decision-making, teamwork, and confidence. They learned that understanding their emotions, recognizing their strengths, and knowing how to regulate themselves are important skills that can support their success at school, at home, and in their communities.
We are incredibly grateful to our families for trusting us with their children, supporting their learning, and partnering with us throughout the summer. Your encouragement and participation make programs like this possible.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Community Capital Fund, Shumaker Foundation, and Children’s Services Fund for investing in our youth and believing in the importance of providing meaningful educational opportunities in our community. Your support helps Grateful Education Foundation continue breaking barriers, creating access, and providing experiences that inspire young people to dream bigger and see themselves as future scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers.
Thank you to every family, funder, community partner, staff member, volunteer, and student who helped make our Summer STEM & Entrepreneurship program a success. We are proud of what our students accomplished, but even more excited about the confidence, curiosity, and possibilities they will carry with them into the future.
At Grateful Education Foundation, we believe education is more than what happens inside a classroom—it is an opportunity to inspire resilience, growth, creativity, and transformation while providing educational opportunities that empower our youth for future success.
Together, we are helping our young people learn, create, lead, believe in what is possible, and build the skills they need for a successful future.
